Hi,
For a project I purchased some 2sa1360 and 2sc3423 transistors. Knowing there are a lot of fakes around i did a quick hfe test on the dmm. the 3423's check ok at hfe180 but the 1360's don't at 550.
The dmm checks at 10uA base current and vce2.8V. Could this cause the high hfe reading? what other measurement can i do?
I asked the supplier and they state they've got them from a reputable vendor and should be ok. I'd like to do further tests before going back asking for a refund. For a first control i checked some bd140's and mje172's as well and they conform to spec on the dmm.
Regards,
Joris
ps does anybody have some 2sa1360 y grades left over? just in case...
