I have a genesis DM200 that keeps burning one of its power supply
Transistors,
I have replaced all 4 irf3205 power supply transistors along with 2 burnt gate resistors
And I also replaced 4 caps in the power supply,
The amp powers up and sounds great but one transistor keeps
Overheating and will burn out if I leave it powered on for 3 mins?
I would appreciate your thoughts and any suggestions?

[/IMG]Did you check the voltage at the gate? Check the voltage at the gate and compare the reading against the other 3 transistors.

I was kindly advised by Gordon of Genesis fame to replace the 4 PS transistors along with 4 small caps and the 2 gate resistors that were burnt out.
So far I have it up and running but I know the IRF transistors marked with an arrow will blow again as it happened first time round, I have since replaced all 4 irf's again and the marked irf was getting warm so I shut it down.
I appreciate all advice but please be clear as I am a novice

Between the two transistor you have two resistors and it looks like in the upper side you have a solder bridge. Check it out. Like I told you to check the voltage in the 3 transistor pins for the transistor getting hot. Read the voltage and post the voltage for the 3 pins.

First Do you have a voltmeter? If not you need to buy one or see if a friend can lend you one. The voltmeter it is the most essential tool needed when troubleshooting electrical or electronic equipment. Please post your answer.

Okay, Then check the voltages at the transistor pins that it is getting hot.
From left to right the first pin it is the gate, The middle pin it is the drain and right pin it is the source. Also read the other 3 transistor that are running good and compare the voltages with the one that it is getting hot. Please post the voltages reading. Also in the bottom photo in the middle between the two transistors are two resistor I think it is 47 ohms looked like there it is solder bridge. One advice it is used a magnified glass and check the solder eyelets so they are not to touching each other. In the picture the transistors solder does not look too clean.
