Hi to all 🙂
I need to build a small poweramp for wide supply battery applications..
(also for headphone drive)
I have considered these ic..
TBA820M - Mono - 1.2W - 3..16Vcc - PDIP8
http://www.st.com/stonline/products/literature/ds/1440.pdf
Stereo PCB
(i have found this with google
)
LM386N - Mono - 700mW - 4..12V - PDIP8
http://www.national.com/ds/LM/LM386.pdf
TDA7073A - Stereo BTL - 3..18Vcc - PDIP16
http://www.nxp.com/acrobat/datasheets/TDA7073A_AT_3.pdf
TEA2025B - Stereo - 2x2W - 3..15Vcc - PDIP16
http://www.st.com/stonline/products/literature/ds/1523.pdf
which is the best for battery supply ?
others IC also with pcb ?
thanks

The TDA7073A and TDA2025B won't work well for headphones as the outputs are bridged.
Lowest external parts count is the LM386N but it doesn't produce much power ... maximum power is 700mW. Even less power at lower supply voltage.
I'm not familiar with the TBA820M.

I've used TPA1517 with good results. The minimum supply voltage is a little higher than the other IC's, but it only requires a few external components and actually sounds decent.
try TDA2822M or TDA2822, low component count, 3 V and good sound.
walkman audio amplifier IC - LA4581MB - it has seperate ground channel for headphone geound, tight bass and powerful sound - 1.8-3V
