Thanks Tony i will give em a call.

I have tried to find it at just about every book store in melb. and the only place that has got it (or can order it in) was a specialty shop in the city. They wanted about $150 for it so i was told on the phone.

Anyway thanks for the tip Tony.

Hi Oz,

I got the loudspeaker design cookbook at Jaycar (ed 6). It wasn't cheap though I think $85........ even though the shelf said $35....... I had a bit of an argument about it, specially since the back of the book said $35, but they said the price on the shelf was for the 5th edition, and the price on the back of the book was in American dollars, even with exchange rate, it should only have come out at around $55, but I couldn't find it anywhere else so I bought it anyway.

I'm sure that's illegal. They have to sell it to you at the price marked, and the price must be in $A unless it's made very clear otherwise. Jaycar would have had no case because all of their prices, online, catalogue and store are in $A. Bet you don't still have the wrapper/sticker and receipt do you? If it was recently I'd be writing to Dept Fair Trading, with a copy to the sales manager of Jaycar.

Try Amazon. Postage will be about $US11. $US51 to your door is better than $A150 (ripoff)

Oz:

I use www.advanceae.com.au (Brisbane) for all my Vifa/Scanspeak/Peerless needs. Also helpful service too.

They have the 18W/8545.

Prices are the best I've seen, not quite as USD equivalent, but say if you're shipping a pair of tweeters and a handful of passives like caps and resistors it'll cost about USD$40

USD$75 will ship you a 12" woofer.

After the conversion, buying from Oz aint too bad after all. Especially with a flat shipping rate of around 8-9 bucks!
