Hi Gents,
I came across the following link for Audio GD and there Txco clock with integrated PSU: http://www.audio-gd.com/Pro/diy/JZ1/JZEN.htm
Looks like a bargain (is it a kit??- for that price i would think so?)
Has anyone fitted this clock to a Phillips CD pro 2lf or a Logitech Squeezebox Touch? for the price its worth experimenting, however the clock output is to quote- -"3 to 5v compatibility with DC Block" - I assume that means you adjust the voltage in to get the correct clock amplitude out? (is there a possibility of damaging a CD Pro if the clock is 5 v out- does it only want to see 3.5v ? )
Could be a nice bargain if it’s what it says it is, I like to patronise people who offer fair products at fair prices- any suggestions boys?
Cheers
Johnny

An externally hosted image should be here but it was not working when we last tested it.

Not a kit
All Audio-gd products are well made and affordable.
Audio-gd is probably the most respected Chinese audio manfacturer. I am runing several of these in Marantz cd-63's. They all work perfectly. Maybe someone has done a reliable comparison with a boutique clock and can report to us.
Audio-gd also rebrands their products for sale by third parties (i.e. Burson).
They recommend a Class A power supply to drive the clock. That would be their PSU-A.
The clock requires a 10 VDC (minimum) to 25 VDC (maximum) input voltage.
The clock outputs 4 frequencies, fo, fo/2, fo/3 and fo/4 (i.e. 33.86MHz, 16.93MHz, 11.28MHz and 8.46MHz are the frequencies generated by the Type 1 model). You need to determine the frequency of your cd players clock.
The only damage that could be done is if you install the Audio-gd clock incorrectly, and cannot restore the original clock.
Now, que the Chinese haters.

thanks for that sir
Hi wdoer,
Thanks for the reply, sounds like a good product, (was it a kit ?) - you seem quite happy with them so that's positive, but on the picture i posted is the PSU integral with the clock here?--or do i actually need the class A PSU? (No biggie as the price seems fair)
Cheers Johnny
P.S.- my wife is Chinese so keep me out of this!😱
