regulated PSU for a RME and Mytek DAC
Hi All,
I am not sure if this is the right place to ask. But I am interested in building regulated PSU's for a RME ADI 2 DAC (12V, 2A) and a Mytek Brooklyn DAC+ (12V, 6A). Maybe later also add linear PSU to the network switch.
I was thinking of buying OEM products but looking ta the prices and since I have the skills why not build the PSU's myself.
Would that be possible with these boards and is it still possible to add my name to the list for the mini kits. Do the mini kits also include the PCB's?
Is there a thread to get up to speed on the build?

The L-adapter would be the best if the device is really using that high of a current, even if at turn on.
If they use less current, need to know that, UBIB can do 1.5A max, with adequate sinking.
The minikits do not include boards. they are just parts that may be hard for you to get locally to add to the board order.

The Group buy for salas boards is now open and will close on April 11 at 11:59PM ESTI am starting to send out invoices to previous group buy purchasers.

It includes a number of R1 resistors to experiment with until you have your final needed value. The parts are listed here under the UBIB Positive and Negative sheets.

Some additional Notes here, because there is always confusion around the UBIB boards, for a number of reasons.
First, each UBIB in the sign up sheet is really 2+ and 1- rail boards.
Each Minikit or full kit extras only cover one of those three rails.
PF5102 and BC560c, which are included in the minikits, are end of life. So you may have a hard time finding them in your local electronics suppliers. I offer them for sale individually for those who wish to make their own kits. Sending these after the fact costs a lot for non-US buyers.
If you put down no minkits, or other stuff in the notes, I ASSUME you have the other parts and will only add a measured J3 < 7.5ma to your invoice.
Please private message with any questions prior to paying invoice.

The current GB boards have shipped out for most everyone, except those that needed minikits and paid after the initial GB deadline.
The rest, I am waiting on IRF530PBF parts, which are in short supply. (actually, lots of stuff is in short supply that I use) You might want to get your needed parts sooner than later.

Supply problems and shipping delays is an unfortunate reality at the moment. I am still waiting for some capacitors and SMD FETs from Digikey, and they keep on sending me e-mails informing me of further delays in shipping my order.
Let's share a thought for us poor gamers also that can't find a new GPU from either AMD nor NVidia months after their new GPUs were released while game studios keep on pushing the envelope on GPU requirements.
It's a crap shoot everywhere.

I have been able to get IRF530 stash replenished, and have more UB+ kits created.
That means the last of the boards already paired for are shipped out now.
There are extra boards and a limited number of minikits and full kits available. Private message me if interested.

It looks like I let a defective board slip by.
Occasionally the board house will fail a particular board on a UBIB, mark with an X and not destroy the whole board but ship the rest to me. I toss these out. I missed at least one and shipped it.
Please note, if you get a board with any funny writing on it, don't use it. Let me know. I will work with board house to try to communicate to junk these.
