The 389 and 109 "duals" are not that well matched.
Look at the spec.
Look at the duals you have and measure the Idss and gm, or compare in an LTP jig. I have done this. They vary a lot. I can get far better matching using singles and carefully measuring them in an LTP jig.
It is a bit of luck to find "well matched" pairs inside a dual.
Where the duals are very good is for Thermal Coupling.
