What now? U only got one week before they bin the thing as paper work to return to sender is an extra chore they can not be bothered with so is easier if thing get lost.

I've ticked them all having just spent all day waiting in for Parcel Force to deliver some bike gear only to find that they left a card at my next door neighbours!! At least I got to listen to some vinyl.
Not so far one need 3 12 LAC or 2 18 V batteries like in hand drill
NiCd as in drill has less noise
I have used in the past a simple charger made with LM317 and a transistor to limit the charge current.
IMO it should be a pretty easy thing to do as I have all the parts in stock and it does not need a split supply (is a pain to equalise charge on batteries to get symmetric rails)
IMO considering that no nasties would be allowed in from mains it is well worth a try

There looks like there is some dirt in places, clean it with a soft dry cloth before you solder. If its sticky, use a drop of Azax Classic on the cloth. Good luck building.
