GB for Salas Folded Simplistic Phono PCB

Its the same in the UK.Seems you have to be of Italian origin and living further north😀

Tick as aplicable:😀

1)May be sum (I think U call them mountains) Pennines in the way postman feels dizzy having to get over them.

Use to love doing Snake Pass with decent motor

2)Postman could not be bother to walk all the way there so he left them next road with the rest of the goodies he delivers weekly

3)Did you not see notice that goes like this? :
We could be bothered to deliver your parcel because there is a Custom charges £3.15 and £8.00 Post office RAPE surcharge which would cause you to be extremely rude to our postman so you have to walk 15 miles to get to nearest delivery depot where we can make recording of the abuse.

4)You what?
Did you throw it away with the rest of the junk mail?
What now? U only got one week before they bin the thing as paper work to return to sender is an extra chore they can not be bothered with so is easier if thing get lost.

For you foreigner’s couple of useful links and we reserve the right to get most spelling mistakes right or sorth off like

How about powering up the Salas Folded Phono stage with batteries?

Has anyone tried that?

Not so far one need 3 12 LAC or 2 18 V batteries like in hand drill

NiCd as in drill has less noise

I have used in the past a simple charger made with LM317 and a transistor to limit the charge current.

IMO it should be a pretty easy thing to do as I have all the parts in stock and it does not need a split supply (is a pain to equalise charge on batteries to get symmetric rails)

IMO considering that no nasties would be allowed in from mains it is well worth a try

Here is a pretty nice site to look @

Why on earth do that when shunt is much better ?

Why not and why?

Exactly because of Earth can be part of the answer as well .

Or you can use 42 little ones or any 42 multiple of whatever
But this is going nowhere

All I tried to say am I got bits and pieces already as I had balanced stage powered by LAC before so all I need is to connect same wires

Once I have done that you get my vote on what is better
Not before

L.A.C. do have noise as well by the way
