Received the package yesterday. Thanks!

On another note... has anyone tested their jfet's yet? I tested a few of these in an amp (that actually has this part socketed for ease of removal) already and I have had no luck yet with getting any to work. Anyone else experiencing something similar?

Hi laststop.

Are you sure you haven't turned them wrong by accident ? I don't have anything to test them in yet, but i'm sure they should work.
Well, ofcourse there's always the chance that one may fail in such a big batch, but more in a row seems unlikely.😕

A happy newyear to all.

Received my FETs as well. However, if I compared their casing with the other 389 and 109 that I have in stock, the new FET pins seem a little odd. They are bigger, have irregular form and bending, not at all like the other parts I have in stock that look perfect.

I'm starting to wonder as well if they are not counterfeit parts?

I need the time to test them, time I don't have right now. Maybe some other buyer can test their FETs and report.

Yes and many thanks as well. The plastic cases look identical to the older date codes I have . The pins are different from the 4 older date codes -which all look identical to each other. We should check them electically before debating which version sounds better 🙂scratch:

Good news: I received my fets.

Bad news: they're dead as a dodo.

From my 25x K389V I tested 11: all of these 11 show about 180mA when only 5V are applied (4V voltage drop over 22R resistor).

After these 11 I stopped the horror show, don't hope that the rest should be ok.

My own BL that I have here shows proper 6.8mA.

Come on tell me I do something wrong. I really want to believe that.

A'af, unless I'm deadly wrong, there's a huge problem starting to rise, since I don't think I'm the only one receiving dead jfets.

Greets, Hannes

EDIT: I haven't tested the J109 yet.

Hi A´af,

I recieved mine today. Many thanks.
On visual inspection the devices looked o.k.
but I was a bit suprised finding them packed
in an ordinary platisic bag.
I am concerned about ESD but since apparantly nobody else is,
I tend to conclude that ESD should not be an issue for
this type of devices. Could one of the more experienced
forum members be kind enough to give me a hint?

All the best
Markus
