Garrard Lab 80 turntables

Can anyone tell me how to tell whether a Garrard Lab 80 auto turntable is a MK 1 or a MK II? I've checked the manuals on line and visually they look (to me) identical. Any advice gratefully received.

Mk1 has the tonearm wand visually (from above) extending through the bearing pillar. On the Mk2 this has an aluminium cover.
