Gain Select on TPA3001

How does the gain select on the schematic for this part work? Can I use a resistor, or is it something else? The schematic is in this pdf file on page 14:

Hi,

from the datasheet it seems that Gain1 and Gain2 are TTL compatible logic inputs (5.5V max input voltage). You can change gain in 4 discrete steps as explained in Table1 on page 20. For low input level simply connect input to gnd, for high input level connect input to Vref (pin23).
