Setting gain on sub amp. Everything flat off , Hu amp same etc . Hu 2/3 volume running a 50 hz test tone gain turned to minimum . Using Bluetooth for test tone .
Problem as soon as I turn on the test tone my subs it sounds like to me are playing. The tone really loud before I set gain. Really can't even turn Hu up to 2/3 it's too loud . Getting 13.4 from battery 13 .2 from remote wire. Can not touch gain at all . When I played music with minimal gain the bass sounds like it's coming from the car behind me , not up front under me so to speak . Triple checked my grounds, RCA's, different Subs .

Basically with cell via Bluetooth is turned all the up and Hu at 2/3 it's too loud before I turn gain up .
Tried a fluke meter, Klein dmm, and some cheap meter. Highest reading from all is 20v AC at max gain . So trying by ear.
Complete list of components in the system (not including speakers)?
Does the sub amp work normally with any source?

Hof all the up using Hu filter which I have off subsonic all the down and no bass boost amp or Hu eq flat crossovers off
Unplug the RCAs from the sub amp. Measure the resistance from the sub cable shield ground to the chassis ground. What do you read?
I'm not sure I understand #13.
For #14, are you saying that you placed one meter probe on ground and the other on the RCA input shield on the amp (no RCAs plugged in) and you read 0 ohms?

Yes outside of RCA jack input on amp to ground both chassis and to ground on amp. Read OL , continuity . Resistance, ohms 0
Ok from amp RCA jack to amp ground I'm getting OL and RCA jack to chassis (body ) also OL. Now from amp ground to same location I get 0. With the piece of wire wrapped around jacks I read OL to amp ground
