I'm building my 250W IRS2092 amplifier, and have a question on fuse requirement for the main AC line. I am using a 600VA toroid, so 600W / 110V = 5.45A. Is the fuse formula 10% above this number, so a 6A slow blow fuse is the correct choice? Given the current required by certain types of music, what percentage do you recommend for a Class D amp, and is the recommendation different than a Class AB amp? Thanks.

You may put an NTC + fuse in the main line and fuse the secondary windings as well.
I.e.: EPCOS B57213P0409M301

On power up there will be a huge surge into the smoothing capacitors as the yare a short to start with.
This could pop a fuse that is OK for normal use.

Nigel, I do have a soft start module before the tranny, so will a 6A fuse do the trick? Thanks.
Should be fine.
