...But seriously folks, just do that thing where you hold your mouth & nostrils closed and gently* inflate your sinus cavities to open/drain your eustachian tubes. One of the most effective "upgrades" I've ever discovered. It's my S.O.P. prior to any kind of serious listening, has been for years, doesn't cost a dime. Also a regular earwax abatement regimen! Then maybe a nice bong rip or 2. Or 3. 😎
*Key word being gently! If something goes wrong please don't sue me - my lawyer's in jail!

Only problem with bong utilisation: it can lead to inadvisable vinyl/cd/download choices. Since I shelved my smoker's accessories a few years back, half my music collection is unlistenable, however expensive the cables, Ethernet switch and cd pen...
or some double drunk blind test? This needs research. Maybe a double blind drunk test?
I find edibles do a nice job sans <cough>. Method aside, the change in musical perception is always amazing, so the research is ongoing.<cough> what about 2 or 3 good bong rips <cough>
Ah, but what they do can be measured. The problem is people try measuring HD, resistance, resonance, etc. John Curl tried the same measurements everyone else has. The only thing he did different was perform one last, final check: A careful listening test. The answer is really right in front of your nose, you just don't see it. So you conclude its all a big lie....bybee inventor conveniently claimed that they change something that no instrument known to humanity can measure...
And, yes, I am challenging you to be as smart as you think you are. If it helps, they do something similar/analogous to a component you probably already use.
Or shall we just cut to the chase and have me explain?

Nah, my nose is short, and I have a presbyopia. Slim chance I would spot anything „right in front of my nose“. 😀
Anyway, if there is an audible change, it should be audible for anyone with normal listening ability, not just to highly imaginative types.
Cal Weldon has made an extensive listening test.
Results: nada, nothing, zilch, zero, nil … worth to write about.
Cant quote from this thread, but he said: "I found no affect on any of the larger drivers whatsoever."

Could you please cut out the armchair psychoanalysis? The answer is really right in front of your nose, you just don't see it. So you conclude its all a big lie.
Why do you feel the need to imply that you are smarter? And, yes, I am challenging you to be as smart as you think you are.
Please don't. This thread was quite fun when it wasn't all about you all the time.shall we just cut to the chase and have me explain?
Nobody I know of who has tried bybees has said they always have an audible effect. They say there can be one though, and some say the change is usually for the worse on a good system.
The listening test John Curl did was to put a bybee in series with AC power line to a Vendetta preamp, then into a pair of Stax electrostatic headphones. He played a piece of music he was very familiar with. He A/B switched several times. Them bybee affected sound was, "more musical, 3-dimensional, and being like a live event," according to John. But he didn't know why.
Here's the description of some devices. Only a couple of electrical specifications, but what do they suggest?

No. Just trying to shake up the overconfidence bias enough to reduce instant dismissal. You see once a human holds a very firm belief, they often dismiss contrary evidence out hand without considering it. "I don't need to consider that because I already know its impossible!"Why do you feel the need to imply that you are smarter?
I had to look...

Maybe its true. If so, what might that suggest about the physics? Where is energy dissipated? What does the amplifier feedback loop try to regulate?"return leg"
That people are very suggestible, and that the brain is truly excellent at finding what is has been told to expect to find...but what do they suggest?
Um.Maybe its true. If so, what might that suggest about the physics? Where is energy dissipated? What does the amplifier feedback loop try to regulate?
Just the idea that there's an "outward" and "return" in an AC circuit.
It's just not the way electricity behaves. Audiophools seem to believe that the laws of physics behave differently when there's audio signals being processed, which is maybe why they're suckers for words like "quantum".
Has anyone opened one of these epoxied lumps up to see what amazing alien technology they contain? An anti-gravity engine perhaps, or some sort of entropy reverser. Maybe a tiny perpetual motion device for heavy electricity or a drop of Mozart's tears (or, for the seriously minted phool, Christ's blood) in a Klein Bottle.
To keep things from going in too many directions at once, let's stick to what is more related to JC's observation for a moment. Anyone every hear tell of a preamp or power amp that was sensitive to power cords? A different power cord could change the sound?
Regarding the electrical specifications for bybees, doesn't anyone get the idea that are intended to be used in situations where a fair amount of current is flowing through them? They are rated for amps, why? Just because they will fuse at some current? Anyone measure them with a 2A test signal? Or just a DVM and an FFT analyzer at a few mA?
You know that ferrites are nonlinear with respect to frequency. You know that PTC thermistors are nonlinear with temperature. Why didn't anyone consider that bybees might be nonlinear with respect to current?
Another thing to consider, why were bybees called purifiers? What were they supposed to be purifying? Everybody focuses on the word quantum. Forget quantum for a moment.

Concerning the Bybee Quantum Purifiers, their website says it all, as quoted:
"Bybee Quantum Purifiers
These devices work on the quantum mechanical level to eliminate sub-audible noise—i.e., noise unmeasurable by typical test-bench instruments."
In other words, they eliminate noise we can't hear and can't measure. Pure delusion.
Interesting concept though. As in, today I will clean the garage. First step is throw out everything I don't have. Better now?

Everything is sold with advertising fluff. e.g. "The breakfast of champions!"
JC already stipulated they bybees don't do what the advertising fluff claims. They can however do something, and it can be measured.

Are you really considering THIS as real? BYBEE – QUANTUM SIGNAL ENHANCER (QSE)
"How it Works: The QSE affects the polarity of all electrons and protons within it’s magnetic field, affecting their oscillation by making them more aligned with each other. This reaction creates an affect the makes the transfer or sharing of electrons more streamline and efficient. "
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
You are really not "scientifically biased", rather very open minded. 🙄
Right, and Wheaties are just food, not precisely the breakfast of champions.
Normal humans are expected to understand that advertising puffery is part of capitalism and take it in stride.
Again, there seems to recurring confusion in this thread about a number of things. I keep trying to explain that bybees, like most other products, don't literally live up to the advertising puffery. That has zero to do with whether or not they can do something to sound and whether or not it is measurable. Two entirely different subjects.
