Funniest snake oil theories

The bottom line for me is that I NEVER hear any affects from my AC power in my audio components and that's good enough for me.

As I've pointed out, one is not necessarily a consequence of the other. Don't fall into the trap of believing that there's some advantage to "pure" 60Hz.

On a personal note, I find rdf to be unfailingly polite and respectful, even when (perhaps especially when) we disagree. He's no dummy! So I'd suggest approaching discussion with that attitude, which will result in more light and less heat.

All the easier to filter in the raw supply. The trouble comes in with RF, where power supply caps aren't as effective and the use of toroids exacerbates things, but that's why Mouser sells Corcom filters. What people believe or don't believe about AC power is less relevant than what happens at the DC end. The idea that "pure" 60Hz is desirable is a curious one.
Have to say the corcom of 30 amp size usually purchased surplus has done a fine job controlling trash on ac line for my test eq. and well for my audio gear.

Call me funny.

I did get me stereo with a sub today, for my desktop, too beautiful to resist.

Add it to what?
to the signal of interest. I was thinking about some quick, empirical tests that everyone can do to probe noise audibility. this noise thing is something I've tried to get my head around to. if it's not there at the amp output and is not audible ear against tweeter, why should we care about it? or is it maybe one of those subjective theories that don't have the slightest connection to reality? I'm not even being ironic.

Thats a real joke of sub hehe but it fits in the general configuration, however maybe it makes better bass that some "standard stereo"

towers but mono, i think a real sub sub stereo and a line source, or cutting edge drivers point source

another snake oil is respectful keele`s "the matrix curve" line source against new brand wisdom audio line source
also gryphon audio goes from time alignment to vertical line source

who wins?

What about the acoustic noise from power supplies? I think that if we're in the realms of worrying about noise at levels of -90dB, the acoustic fizzing and humming that comes from different types of power supply in the same room will swamp it.
what about singing transformers? obviously, it will happen mostly with audiophile gear. where no dynamics-destroying evil filters are ever used.

What about singing heatsinks? Try driving your amp into a dummy load and you can often follow the music from the heatsink vibrations with load current.
Many an audible difference is caused by just that.

Easy to do with something like Goldwave, then ABX with foobar. In some cases, the added noise could even be beneficial. But do consider trying Bill Waslo's superb demonstration ("Listener Challenge"):
