I'm sorry that I ever brought it up, BUT I do have some experience with Bybees in my own system, in other people's systems, in my lab (I couldn't measure anything either), and I have actually taken them apart. I also know Jack Bybee, and I have never found him to deliberately lie to me, over more than 15 years. He does keep a whole lot of things secret, and that makes it almost impossible to explain what they are.
I have even worked with him on projects. He is OK in my book. SY has never met him.

Of course, there is a resistor involved. I once went out with Jack Bybee, about 15 years ago, to find some resistors to use in Bybee devices to parallel the Bybee devices. Today he uses more sophisticated resistors, and I have no info. The original Bybee device is completely separate from the resistor.
What is the origin of the name 'Bybees'? Is it some sort of in-joke involving a slight re-spelling and splitting into two words?

No, to be fair, I didn't take it apart nor did I take a ride in the infamous Bentley. I did do extensive and well documented tests of the claims, and that's what counts, not the number of car rides. The bottom line you cite is correct- functionally, it's a resistor. The claims are nonsense and it's a fraud.
Measured with a meter, it is a resistor, because the resistor dominates the circuit path conductance.

No, someone else found them. John claimed that those were different than the unit I had, but also claimed that he didn't know what was in the unit I had. The contradiction is confusing, but the testing was pretty clear and straightforward.
