When I was a kid we taped coins to tonearms.
My answer to SAE'S noise removal system was to spray mist purified water on snap crackle pop records prior to playback.
It had no pretty lights, or rack mount handles, though.
Water on records will quiet them while they are wet, but it makes them almost impossible to listen to, dry. Why this is so, I never figured out.

Same experience (Lenco victim). And repeated cleaning did not de-noise them, which makes me think that there's surface damage to the vinyl.

Probably the wrong sort of water - you need one of these new fangled special water types, with quantum aligned molecules or whatever it is...
Or maybe the water had a homeopathic memory of the noise? 😀
I think their fluid had a surfactant in it, but I used the last of it when Jimmy Carter was still president, so can't say for sure. If anyone still has some, I can determine what else is in there with the equipment I have on hand.
Wet playing is one of those oddities. do it once, have to do it forever. And SY is probably one of the few whose day job gives him a fighting chance of understanding why!

I used Lenco too... IIRC the fluid had a slightly soapy feel, definitely some gunk in it that presumably dried onto the surface. It worked well on some damaged vinyl, but I quit using it after a few months and just replaced the records... Which are all archived in the attic now, replaced by CDs and now stored on SSDs! It amazes me that even the very obscure stuff eventually got remastered to CD, about the only things I had to do myself were bootlegs...
Seems you can still buy a copy of it: Analogis Wet Type Record Cleaning Arm (Lenco Clean) - SCOTT NANGLE AUDIO

We had a long discussion on this a while back, there were no answers.

That was my point (badly put). If it's not obvious to the good Doctor then us mere mortals have no chance!
I just didn't/don't have data. One of these days, I'll try to get a few hours of SEM time and look at some damaged disks.
There was a DIY recipe in those days, that at least worked equally well, - distilled water ( or 60/40 water/alcohol) and a few drops of Photoflo...

With the ever important part that "playing" on a SEM has to be one of my favorite pastimes. Do they mix anything into the PVC to make it conductive or is a thin coating needed? Assume the latter. (Graphite for wear was my thought)
I wouldn't be surprised if a gc-ms of the solution didn't yield dilute shampoo. ;-)

As someone recently said, as long as it's sham, not realpoo.....

That is pretty much what I used to clean my vinyl with when I was still using it.
Worked very well and cheaper than pure isopropyl.

Ah! Very cool, and as I expected. Be interesting to see the surface morphology more closely. With a thermal evap, it's probably gone (thickness control). That scope reminds of an pools Hitachi I used for a while. Guy very good at manual destigmatism.
A mixture of 20% isopropanol and 80% pure water does the same job as Lenco Clean at a fraction of the price.

Phones... Redaction: "That scope reminds me of an old Hitachi. Got very good at manually dialing out the astigmatism"
Sheesh, I'm done writing with this thing, haha.

I remember a theory saying that while wet, the micro-dust particles in the air are attracted and afterwards remain on the surface producing additional noise.
