I've always wanted to market cans of compressed audiophile air. After all, that is involved in the transmission of sound as much as wire is.

Tempting idea, but surely more money in homeopathy water which is guaranteed to have been made by burning hydrogen so untainted by contact with other substances since its creation?

After all people will buy this stuff Glaceau Smartwater British Spring Water - Coca-Cola GB with added confusion as smartwater is also a dye used in the security industry...

Cryoed?

Nope, after thousands and thousands of milliseconds of research I've concluded that the most effective thing you can do is use Oxygen free air, six-nines of course. 😉

Late to the party - I was at RMAF in October - someone was selling brass bowls and explaining how if you place them correctly in your listening room, your soundstage with open up.

I asked if the crack on his planet was good.

This?

System | Synergistic Research

I am continually amazed at the mentality of a segment of audiophiles that eat this stuff up. I am not amazed that there are people unethical enough to peddle it.

I'm speechless.....just schtumm... !!!! I thought the C34 laquer to wipe on the outside of various cabs was the Pinnacle of stupid claims...
quite frankly - I just don't know which party is the most stupid.......

In most industry's, pandering to a lunatic fringe would be considered a waste of time, not in audio though. Here it seems to reap massive rewards.

Now if I re-label a crimp terminal as a cold fusion jointing system.......

On an OT, singing bowls are about as good a way of highlighting system issues as anything - have a CD of these played by a decent practitioner, plus a real one, nice piece of shiny brass, in-house - not used for audio purposes, whatsoever! The genuine article creates an intense tone that cuts like a knife through your skull, it's all those higher harmonics going full chat - playing back the recording, a typical dud setup outputs a dull, dead grinding that makes no acoustic sense at all - what's this crap supposed to be, a casual listener would be prompted to say.

So, sometimes the ears are a touch useful ... 😉
