Yeah the pyramids. No one as yet has described the incredible improvement in a power amp when suspended at the 1/3 rd point inside the pyramid. It's only required to sell a pyramid and stand ( for the amp ) that is of suitable size ! Remember that the pyramids were originally pointed towards Orion which 'sent back' energy waves. Pyramids off the direct line of sight would benefit to a lesser degree.....but would still benefit !

"Wood" that I hadn't seen that today 
Some claim that 'skinning' (removing the heatshrink label) changes the sound of electros.
In the wood electro blog, after removing the aluminium can, silk cloth is wrapped around the 'naked' electro before potting in the wooden enclosure.
The silk is likely one cause of subjective change.
The wood would also 'effect' the subjective sound, and the species of wood would also be important.

The original heatshrink will nicely compress the cap and help dampen any mechanical resonances. Removing it could change the sound, but unlikely to be for the better. Silk cloth is unlikely to wrap as tightly, and wood nicely resonates - which is why it used for making musical instruments. The last thing I want is my caps acting like instruments!
