Fun with a TL494

I decided to after 8.5 weeks of inactivity dust off my breadboard and do something.

After a while of pushing components into the holes, this was the result: TL494 class d playing some music - YouTube

Good job! Can you tell us what schematic have you used please 😛

I did not build this off of any schematics, i just wired up the error amps like regular single supply opamps, added a 5nF capacitor and a around 2k resistor for the oscillator part.

The output just goes to a simple N and P channel totem pole with IRF540 and IRF9540.

Considering all the stray capacitance in the breadboard, likely 30-50kHz, cant be bothered hooking up a scope to measure.

I've replaced the TL494 with a LM311 because the TL494 is pulse width limited, and it ran very hot.

This is the circuit of my new amp, currently playing, The oscillation frequency is around 800-900kHz. Simple, aint it ? Maybe too simple ?
