Fun Day

Today I breadborded a JLH 1969 amp. I used all the parts I had on hand. A couple of months ago I bought three multi-bin storage containers, full of parts, at a hamfest for twenty bucks. Just for the heck of it I used all carbon comp resistors. I used a 2n3906, 2n4401 and two sj8306 power transistors, which I think are comparable to mj15022. Anyway, it worked right of the bat. Sounded pretty darn good. Next step better parts, do some tweaking and put it on pc board. What a great learning experience. Just wanted to tell someone else about my fun day.

Thanks for sharing 🙂

The JLH69 is a superb performer and the simplicity of the design makes it super stable too. You wouldn't be able to lash many designs up like that (looking at the picture 😉)and get away with it but with the JLH you can.
