Picture 4 is version 1 but I have improved layout a bit so gerber from first post is version 3 which I didn't built since I have ten regulators version 1 in my home, works very nice! Version 3 above might work the same since components are the same. XL4015 is realy nice buck regulator, I'm using them in almost all projects where an voltage conversion from HV is needed. This one is CC, CV, and interesting thing those regulator is simply practical and literally indestructible, I use it for various things from chargers to something where I need a specific voltage and current, very practical, even I used it to charge the car battery by modifying an old charger that has a transformer in it, diodes, I simply inserted this buck and it does the job perfectly. Decided to share ptoject. : )

5V 3A easy! I'm using 12V 2A with no problem. Problem is pic and their internal flash limit, so I had no space left in pic to implement automatic ampere correction based on set voltage so that regulator not exceed e.g. 15-20Wmax, to be honest I didn't tested regulator for more than 12V 2A = 24W ! While digitaly setting values for V and A its important to limit ampere acording to set voltage so that total W is not more than e.g. 24W. I didn't tested the limit of this regulator but in my opinion regulator is realy indestructible, XL have their internal protections and it realy work correctly, nice cheap buck regulator ic. For my audio projects XL is used as a predregulator, never had any single problem with them. E.g. https://www.diyaudio.com/community/threads/super-regulator.247281/post-7886003
