These drivers were available in Pooja Electronics, SP road, and also with Globe (Globe Electronics ??? do not remember the correct name of shop).

IIRC these were available in 3 variants
1. Octagonal frame 25W max.
2. Round frame 25W max.
3. Round Frame 40W max.

All of them were manufactured by Boston Accoustics, And had all the FS parameters printed on the Box.

Supposedly both the 25W models were same according to shopkeeper, as well as the specs mentioned on the Box were same.

Here's one that I was able to get my hands on... from the shop in bangalore.

Also available are these imported Tymphany (Peerless) 3.5" 6-ohm full-rangers, suitable for small near-field bookshelves, HT satellites, line arrays and similar:

They're nearly identical to these Vifa-branded 3.5" 4-ohm full-rangers from Parts Express, but with a black woven glass-fibre cone and 6-ohm impedance (Tymphany does not list it on their website as a current-production item).

sachu888: In Delhi they are for 266 + 12.5% VAT. In Bangalore the dealer said that he sold for 350 last year so this year he'll sell for no less than 450/-. I bought it. Hope it is good.

Now I'm looking for matching woofers that can go low low low. Any suggestions?

I also bought the Visaton FR 10 - 8 Ohms from Element14 since they were available (and looked the best of the available bunch; I also like the name Visaton and that they are from a German manufacturer). Are they any better than the Boston 48414P?

PS: I also surmise that the European sound is a lot softer and mellow than the shreiking high treble Japanese flavour. Is there any truth to it?
