Fullrange bookshelf

I was very happy with the Mark Audio Alpair 10.3 in a MarKen GR cabinet. Though I suspect you could coax a little more out of the driver with another a bit more intricate box.

Planet10 and Scottmoose here on DIYA have a lot of cool and interesting designs with both Mark Audio and other drivers well worth checking out

Ok!
Seize, maybe 15 high, 9 large max
Budget, about 500$
It Will be for my work space, computer to AMP ( dont know witch one et) to Dac..to speaker
They Will be close to wall.
Like clarity and long lasting session, as Much bass that a small box can give

Thank!

Pluvia 7 if you can find it, not as much fine detail as the newer 7HD, but amazing bass potential for such a small driver.

It will be hard to spend $500. Don’t let that think you need to spend more. One of Mark’s goals is to bring these drivers to us at an aggressive price point. Some of them could fetch 3 x the price and still be very competitive.

First time i have checked the price of the P7HD (mine came from Hong Kong). It is CHEAP for what you get.

I’d spend the extra (insignificant given the price), but given the application the extra bass from the lesser priced unit will be of benefit, the downsides will get lost with the downward firing position.

Which brings the question, did you play with the exact angle and what is in and around the space where the driver is facing.

Spend a bit less on the speakers and more on amp/DAC, it won’t hurt at all. With good source material a small system can really kick butt.
