That's the Moth, which looks like it. The Lowther PM6A also works, but both need some EQ on the top. Please tell me people are not using a Lowther 8" driver in that!
Hello all. I use a pair of folded OB speakers, each with a single Alpair 12P. The actual cone is small enough to need not much toe in for my needs.
The smallish H Frame bass bin uses two buyout Ariel paper 10 inch sub drivers, with a lowish for OB 0.33 (IIRC) QTS, like the 12P pair.
I highpass the stereo 12Ps' small amp with a .039uf cap to limit excursion and reduce power demands.
After a year or so, I wouldn't mind using some about 0.44 QTS 97db efficient 12 inch drivers for stereo bass.
Does anyone do this with 12 inch drivers with good results? These 12s are solid to just under 30 hertz, but are woofers, not subs, so I'd be using a parametric equalizer to shelf below 30 hz the maximum 14 on my plate amps.
I guess what I'm asking is would this work with single drivers in a stereo pair, or am I getting more than enough bass right now simply from a proximity boost of two closely spaced sub drivers?
I have no with to be like a friend of mine listening to his 1/2 watt amp and 86db full rangers, marveling at what he calls the voice of god speakers- my amp only does 10 watts per channel, but with the 92db stereo pair, at least I can hear it without being his usual extreme nearfield position in his setup- about 3 feet away.
