Qts is only one parameter. Plenty of other factors will affect a driver's response, and how it will be used. The Qts is 0.57 which is better than most, but not ideal for OB (>0.7). It's a good value, but I am looking for state-of-the-art.
Even low Qts drivers, with a healthy XMax, EQ and used in multiples can outperform the so-called high Qts needed for OB.
Plus, your OB will be subwoofer supported, so why limit yourself to high Qts drivers?
I am also looking at an open baffle project with the Alpair 12p which I own. I will be using a subwoofer with these OB, so low end is not a real concern right now. My question is; What should the dimension of the baffle be? I will be testing with different sizes by using cheap plywood and once the optimal dimension has been decided, I will build them with nicer wood.
BTW mike_mcf have you built yours and with which drivers?
