Full Range Faital for center

The 4FE35 in a 15L sealed for each can work good, that gives an F6 of 74Hz, so in combo with a sub this should work. use 2 of them in a 30L cabinet maybe, close toghetter to get the best result.

Both will also probally work in a transmission line or ported, but the port will have to be very long for a low tuning. The 3FE25 cuts of to high in a sealed one (F6 of 100Hz in a 4.5L cabinet).

A friend proposed this set up

4F4F4F3F3F3F4F4F4F in 30-40 litre seal
is it possible

No, way to much drivers for a small cabinet. Each 4F needs 10 to 15L for sealed, and mixing drivers won't make it sound good. So if you want to use all 6 4F's you need to make a 60 to 90L cabinet or even better, 6x10L to 15L sections in one big cabinet). It's also important to keep the drivers as close to each other as possible. The 3F's in the same passband will only do harm and mess up the sound as their response is different it will interact and cause phase issues.

If takes up my story from the beginning

I'm trying to mount a line array with the same driver mentioned above
this one tightened up as follows

444444333333333333444444

If these don't work for my center, which driver do you recommend?

The thing is, don't mix up different drivers in the same pass band. The 4FE35 is a good one, so sell the 3's and get more 4's if you want an array with more drivers, and count minimum 10L space for each driver.

Look up Bill Fitzmaurice and his sla (short line array) speaker plans. They're $15. The plans call for using tweeters and mids. There is also an option for just using 3" Eminence full range drivers. The plans also have a curved center option.

He has a forum. Ask if your drivers will work over there. The designer will get back to you pretty quick.

I’ve played with 4 x fe87 fountek, array.

Wide dispersion, vertical fine.

Probably needs at least 200hz crossover point.
But I couldn’t say, I rarely use it, and only for late night movie watching so I can understand the voices at low volumes.

I run it wide open, horrid for music, but that Is not why I have it.

If you want a linear response, not a bass boom, u could use 4,5L per driver and a serial bipolar capacitor of 600-800uF when overall there is a 8 ohm load,
f3 would be 84Hz. Try to simulate it to determine the size of the cap.
Also to compensate the baffle step a serial imductivity with half of the drivers.

If you want to use the 3" as well, crossover with 6dB at 1000Hz (woofers and tweeters). Mount the tweeters all above the woofers

Well, since we have no idea what the rest of the system is, there can't be any good suggestions. Except the something like 4443333444, just no.

If you want meaningful suggestions, share more info about your system and room, and your expectations.

I'm in the process of redoing my full front setup, my R-L will be done comm follows
and I was thinking of making my center with the same drivers. but I believe that this project is simply not viable with a result that is not promising for the center
so I'm going to move on to other things for my center
Any suggestions?
I can go with a front of 30 inches max

My room is 18x14 feet

Are you talking about 4FE35?
Obviously I don't want to make a boom box, only have a fair frequency adequate for a center

Thank you Bansuri

As I have not had other project suggestions with differing driver, I will launch myself with its small 4 niches
I have nothing to lose $40.00 worth of wood and a little time I can always correct the curve with my interface Motu 828MK3
thank you

Those line arrays will be your mains?
Will you power shade the drivers?
The wiring should be interesting.....

I was going to suggest a single 4" in a TABAQ style enclosure, but a single driver will not keep up with a line array setup, unless you reduce the output via your Audio card.

At least something to do during the locked down holidays!
Passe un bon temps des Fêtes.

Perceval for your support
Yes the line array will be my two front
The wiring is quite simple
I don't understand this expression (Will you power shade the drivers)
For a few days Google translate is my gréât friend 🙂)
Again thank you, and yes good time of Holiday to all your loved ones

Hi all I do have 4 of the 4FE35

they are very good but can not get very low... I even tryed several options to get maximumn bass but not enough.
the Qts is very high.

It would be ideal to combine then with a woofer and cross them somewhere at 200Hz
Somethink like Beyma 12BR70 or even large Faital 18FH500
I didn't try any of them yet
