Is it possible to connect a full range driver and a bass driver in series, using a low pass filter to make sure only low frequencies are fed to the bass driver?
This low pass filter is going to be more complex than it would be if they were in parallel. Their interaction will also not be balanced due to impedance interactions.

So I buy an 8hm full range and 8ohm bass driver, wire them in parallel to get a 4ohm setup and use something like the cross over below to get it too work, can you give me a wiring diagram on how to connect the wires?:
