i've search and searched for the perfect 2-way speaker for me and i'm totally shocked that i found it!!! problem is... i dont have the schematics to buid this enclosure. it uses the AE td15m, and the beyma cp385/nd. not sure of the horn... i know it's qsc. anyways... i wanna build this speaker bad. i listen to mostly metal and a little war theme orchestra. i need help with box design and amplification. i wanted to go with a digmoda with the built in dsp... but i think their a little over my budget. if a newborn wasnt on the way... i wouldnt mind spending the extra money. soo... here's the speakers. thanx for looking
Reminds me of a design I've seen in post #35 of http://www.diyaudio.com/forums/multi-way/173646-will-you-help-newcomer-his-first-multi-way-project-4.html
Since you want to go with active crossover ,just put the speakers in the boxes and set the splitting freq value to about 1.5 KHz . Since the tweeter chosen is a high sensitivity type , amplifier's power could be rather low (20-40W) . Opposite for subwoofer ,which may require huge peaks of current ,so a 150 -300 W is better .

hmmm... i was thinking 500 X 2 @ 8ohm for the ae td15's and 50 watts for the compression drivers. 500 watts for the 15's overkill?
Headroom is always nice but beware of deafness
Download WINisd and plug in some numbers to see what your max SPL will be at 500W
BTW what is war theme orchestra?
winisd? i downloaded that software but it didnt work for me.... some odd reason it wont go through my set-up wizzard.
war theme orchestra?

The build is probably in AVS forums.
The waveguide is the QSC HPR-152i waveguide, you can order through the QSC parts online ordering site. You have to figure out the model # though, if they are out of stock PM me I have 3 more pairs in boxes still.
Zilch knows a ton abou this stuff, Augerpro did many measurements. I have built 3 sets myself, all active. I have the TD12M/BMS4550 and TD12M/Radian 475 builds.
Here are all the links important to the QSC waveguide builds.

Zilch's Econo waveguide builds all here....BEST SOURCE for 100% XO design/BOM,etc for 2-way waveguide builds and you can make the best box/finish out of all of us

Go to AVS and post in the DIY forum. The TD series / QSC waveguide has many, many build threads.

ah, Arsis is that you?
You are already on PE so you have Zilch's thread.
FWIW, Htguide.com has Augerpro's build thread too, that is the thread you posted on over on AVS when you posted "I want these".
YEP... THATS ME
hey... i found that build thread for these speakers. unfortunately he didnt produce a good build log. i wish i had term pro or some box building software. all i can find in frequency and crossover simulation software.
