Not to hijack, but what is advantage of a streamer vs computer/DAC?
I have been looking for a good reason to do the same...that's all....

Fair enough! My current computer cpu/case fan is crazy noisy.
I am building a dedicated computer for audio only (well, music, internet browsing, and Chess online) via a HP Elitedesk 800 like I have at work. Nice and quiet (power supply is an external SMPS, and I never hear the CPU fan at work).
Now to decide on the software player....

A small but powerfull ARM device equipped with Volumio, a 1 tb SSD and a linear PSU connected to this very good DAC are all you need 😀

I had an RPi + Allo Digione running Volumio powered by an Ifi ps + this DAC and I must say that it was a very nice combo.

I bought a board for this with associated PS from VT67 awhile back for old fashioned SPID/F
use.
I am astonished at how good this DAC is: great bandwidth and separation of instruments along with a really solid (as in "Body') sound and great imagery in width and depth.
Further I have found the seller - VT67 - to be a totally reliable seller who helped me with a couple of early problems I experienced.

I am interested to have it. I happen to know someone who's always bragging about it, so let's see what the fuzz is all about 🙂
