BTW, I am also looking for DF1700 or SAA7220 (it wouldn't hurt to learn with these first before messing with the PMD100), do you have one or two?

as far I remember, isnt the DF1700 = SM5813 ? second is fairly common & cheap...

From the datasheet they seem to be pin-compatible, and other sources on google also suggested they were.

But unfortunately the only sources to get these type of components are to go online, so I would like to try A'af first.

BTW I saw large stock of 5842 on some stock trading site, are those imaginary ?
