Old School Image Dynamics CD1-Pro Compression Tweeters w/Large Horns NIB!!!. I had these on Ebay but I am pulling them today to avoid the excessive fees to sell. I bought these new about 8-9 years ago as a set with the CX62 6.5" mids (not included) and never got a chance to use them. I did attempt to install them into my old vehical but ended up using different tweeters. One of the large horns has been trimmed down from 22" to 14.5" to fit my car and primed for paint. The horn that has been trimmed, fits under the drivers side dash of a 2001 Ford Taurus, so it should be very close to other vehicals in its class (4d sedan). That is as far as I got on the install. If your a true car audiophile then you know what these are and how rare it is to find a brand new pair. Includes all mounting hardware and screens/grills.
$225 shipped. Possible trades for 1 or 2 pairs of high quality 6x8 or 5.25 components w/passive crossovers.

FYI those are the mini bodies. I am currently using the with the DE500 and loving them. If anyone on here wants to know what high end car audio is about this is one of the best ways to go if you can fit them.
Good luck with the sale.

Are you sure? These are version 1 CD1-Pro's, they didn't have mini horns back then as far as I'm aware. The untrimmed horn is 22"L x 2.25"H and weighs 1.7lbs. The compression tweeters are 2.55lbs. ea. (CRAZY!) and metal mounting brackets and grills are ridiculously heavy also, but to hold up a 4.25lb tweeter & horn it has to be strong.

I could be wrong because those bodies look similar to mine but not quite the same. I am about 90% sure those are mini bodies. Thats actually not a bad thing, the full size are very hard to fit in any modern car.
Here is a pic of the full bodies I am used to seeing.

The horns in the link are a different generation I think because the tweeter mounts horizontally on the horn, and mine mounts vertically (in relation to the horn) also you can tell they have been cut down quite a bit. Like you said "If you can fit them" LOL. That is the main reason for selling them, "fitting" is a pain in the.... Either way they are huge and heavy. If I don't get any takers, I may have to set aside a weekend and just install them. With my dash and these tweets, it will take all weekend to do it correctly.
In the 1&2nd picture below (Example pic#2 not for sale), you can see what I mean by the tweeter being mounted vertically instead of horizontally. I have also noticed that the walls of the horn seem to be much thicker/heavier than the newer versions, I may be wrong though, I'm just going by photos that I have seen. These horn bodies are over a half inch thick and solid, they feel like "bowling ball material" or something close to it. On these horns the compression tweeter fires directly down the horn tunnel, on the newer versions they mount horizontally and the tweeter fires into the wall of the tunnel and is deflected out. I think they changed them to to make installation easier. I believe the direct fireing setup would be superior, but I am not a pro. If someone knows please advise.
Is there a way to determine for sure one way or the other if these are mini or full sized? I do not want to misrepresent anything I am selling in any way.
I am also willing to trade for 2 pairs of good quality of 5x7, 6x8, or 5.25" components for my Taurus. Thanks for looking.
