You should build both.....
I have the older NX150's and they are something to behold. Very fine amp.

for nxv new owner
change the supply caps with BGF or BG Standar
& the signal caps with silmic caps
you will know the difference, BR

Yeah, at current prices (if you could find six) you would be looking at around $3000 for the PSU caps....
Hi Poyoco, those BG are rare as hens teeth and too expensive. What about rubycon?

Hi quan, the supply caps on the modul is 2 x 100uf 100v, you need 4 pcs caps
in our trial and error view year past, i remembered some matching caps there.
- 4 BgF 100 uf 100 v makes the sound so deep and better control
- 4 Bg std 100uf 100v better high
- 4 Elna cerafine going a little wilder
when si_jopie 2 caps broken last time so i solder panasonic fc with BGF,
maybe he forgot or maybe he like it, so the dynamic duo still in there 😀
his amp sound little bit deep and a little bit mellow
with the nichicon even i used KG & FG the sound going wider
but as diyaudio forum said just try it
in here BGF 100uf 100v sale for US$ 12,5 / each
For better sound you can use 2 x 45v-0 5A toroid ( i used talema )
but you must use 80v caps ( 45 x 1,414 : ~ 63v )
btw if you need chassis for the amp, i have it 44 cm x 30 cm x 9 cm
like i use in my 2nd aussie, full anodised + heatsink : US$ 150
i will attach the picture
best regards

or stay below +/- 63V with power supply supply, +/- 55V should be more than enough for one output pair 😉
and btw, didnt he buy power supply with caps mounted 😕
Where can I get 100uf 100v BG F caps for $12.5usd?
I thought you meant the power supply unit (six large caps somewhere around 10,000uf each), these sell for around $500 each, if you can find them....
I have the NX150 modules which are very similar in spec to the NX200, I did replace the caps on the module board with Black Gate std 100uf 100v and they sound great although I don't think they made that much improvement. The modules sound fabulous stock....
I would be very interested tofind some BG F series 100uf 100v caps for the price you mention, please tell us where they can be purchased.

yes tinitius, looks like 63 v there
so the toroids must be 40vac
except he decide to change the caps
with 45vac some hidden sound will be around
but you need to rechedulle all the capacitor
aussie has big influence from supply
- with elna for audio become quiter
- with nippon chem become more dynamic
- with Nichicon KG a little bit deeper

Dont be sad Doc 😀
NXV 200 is 200watt for 4 ohm so it will be 100watt for 8 ohm
NX 150 is 150watt for 8 ohm so with 45v you get 187 watt
maybe now the time i'll let u know
what you can do with the old pcb ... just change if u get budget and
a solder skill and got hot solder maybe 40w solder
1
change 2 big resistor 10ohm with kiwame 5w ... total 4 pcs
if you didnt believe kiwame you can change AB or Mills too
2
remove all connector make a direct solder voltage or signal cable
just cut them no need to use them one more time
buy WBT solder even you must buy meter by meter
test your cable used by magnet
if they join together, change with better cable
3
BGF of course ... 4 pcs
4
the little caps on the middle change to silmic ... 2 pcs
5
change 1 k and 33 k resistor to cmf55/rn60d/vishay s102
as i remembered before 1k resistor is not the same
1 rn60d and the other was taiwanese
6
input cable and output cable was important
in my set up i used japanese cable for input
and for loudspeaker output i used ultralink / xlo
7
with auricaps 1 uf you will get natural sound
with mundorf silver in oil, the sound will be wow
you can change to k73-16 caps or k75-10 caps too
try bigger voltage here
happy mods
