15 inch Adire Tempest DVC Subwoofer. It is currently in a 4.5 cubic foot enclosure with 1.5" MDF walls. The enclosure is painted a gloss black and the driver is covered with a black metal grill (purchased from Adire). Two Scan speak vario-vents are used on the rear. The asking price is $150 for the driver, plus packing and shipping. The enclosure is free. The enclosure and driver weigh ~90 lbs so if the enclosure is wanted, it will be local pick-up only. (Detroit area). If you pick-up, I will include a BGW 700B power-amp (200 wpc) for free and for an additional $50 I will include a DBX electronic crossover. This combination gives extremely low natural bass. I have run it with a stereo amp with each channel driving a voice coil. It needs 200 wpc. If someone wishes to purchase the DBX cross-over separately, please contact me. The asking price for the cross-over is $100 plus packing and shipping. The amp while extremely powerful uses an electrical fan for cooling and is not suitable for listening at low levels. But at moderate to high levels, it kicks butt and the fan is inaudible. The asking price for the amp separately is $50 plus packing and shipping. I have moved from a house to an apartment and I have no room for this speaker. Pictures can be supplied if requested.
