I once read 1 post (cant seem to find it anymore 🙁 ) where someone said that his light source (the lamp) was so overheated by the reflector that it was fried... totally burned because the light passes through twice.
Did anyone have a similar experience? What are the things to take into account when building/fitting a reflector so the expensive MH bulb wont just overheat and fry after 30 minutes?
(i know about the need to ventilate😉) And generally: how far away is your reflector from the bulb & what size or curve does it have?
OR
Are there other things to check that could totally mess up the setup when done wrong? (heat-wise or otherwise)
