Umm...are we getting off topic here?
Oops.
shouldn't a moderator know better?
Some really nice builds here. Makes it all worthwhile to see these.
I agree. You can view all the great work and come up with your own build based on looking at these great photos.
I built these cabenets out of chipboard because I wanted to see what my Tang Band W3-1053SC's would sound like in the frugal-horn.
They sounded good enough for me to want to fix up the cabinets. Here are some photo's of them as they are now between coats. Stone maple veneer on the top and sides with 1/2" recycled kauri on the baffle.

Soon there will be a second pair with mark audio CHP-70's
If it's MA CHP-70 Gen-1 you are referring to, it is likely that you will really like the sound.
Even a 3/4" roundover has little actual effect on the diffraction. Need to be in the 1.5" range to really get impact. Lots of test info out there on this topic.
Doesn't anyone building these own a router? Ease those baffle edges!
All finished and in place, sounding good
Yes, where did those nice feet come from please? I need some, badly!

Alpair 7? Those look gorgeous! Very professional looking
How does that sound, how is the soundstage? I got some Alpair 10s for my parent's home theater in P10 bass reflex boxes. I liked the sound but I wasn't really AMAZED like when I first heard my fostex FE108E sigmas, I didn't like the HF quite as much (in fairness they are behind some acoustic fabric that isn't totally acoustically transparent, though I also heard them without the fabric). Ever since I've been a bit wary but I still want to give the Alpair 7 a chance.
My fostex horns give a huge awesome soundstage but that of the Alpair 10s wasn't as good IMO, though the bass was fantastic
