Just finished another pair. This time they are covered in marvel comics and then lacquered - they took a really long time to do but they came out OK

Love'm. Very creative!
I wall papered my OB's with a Ralph Lauren print. Next pair I may decoupage with old sheet music.

I may have to steel your sheet music idea if I make another pair for the dining room I think that would look much more tasteful
So, can I ask how you like the sound? I built a pair and ultimately didn't like them, too weak at the bottom. On top of that, they really don't rock out, as most everybody agrees.
I need to find a place for them. My bedroom could use them but there aren't any usable corners. They sound nice enough at low volumes, and I'm not blasting them in bed.

Only FE126 really needs corners.

I used JFunk's idea and covered my FH3s with '60s and '70s album cover art. I have to agree with the labor intensive comment (and I only did the 4 outside surfaces) I used Mod Podge with a brush which gave a shiny, rough finish that I think goes with the time frame of the material used.

Nice! I'd love to Mod Podge a pair in old sheet music.
I've seen cut up brown paper bags Mod Podged and the results were stunning.

MIA on the album cover art - the Osibisa flying elephant series, and almost anything by Roger Dean - the first few Yes particularly

Chris, most of the pictures were culled from a used copy of the first Album Cover Album purchased for the project. There was only one large sized rendering of a Yes album cover, Relayer, residing on the other speaker. Maybe Mr. Dean was being modest by not including too many of examples of his own work.
Dave,
How do you like the sound of the FH3 with FE103Sols? I have a pair of FE103sols (8ohm) running in the p-1000e bass reflex boxes from madisound and the look of the boxes just kills me to see in the living room. I'd also like a little further reaching low end. I'm running mine with a TU8200DX Elekit Tube Amp with 6l6 tubes. I love the look of these FH3s but I don't have good shop access since leaving my grad school furniture shop behind so I'm hoping that I can slip into a friend's shop to make some cabinets.
