Hi there. I'm trying to restore a 1978 MARANTZ 4025 (a Receiver with a Built in deck). After replacing several parts and rewirig the old electric transformer, everything works OK, except for the volume/balance POT which is damaged.
This component has 4 legs instead of the basic 3 legs pot.... Any ideas ??? Any help ?? It has 12 legs in total... 4 for the balance, and 8 for the volume (3 rows of 4 legs each). The balance part is 200K Ohms and the volume is 100KOhms x 2.
The component code is 87C-RQ02040010
Thanks in advance....

Hello Moska
In what way? Have you tried cleaning the controls?
4th leg is the loudness tap.

The Pot is physically damaged, so I can't modify the volume control (the metal part that goes to the front pannel is missing, It's like somebody has cutted it out). If you move the pot from the back of it (there's a little wheel on the back), it works ok... Remember I have the whole circuit open, so I can move the wheel from the back.
