During some testing with a Chinese chip amp of questionable integrity, I somehow fried Q4 and Q6 on my miniDSP 2x4.

The transistors appear to be labelled 1IJ (or 1lJ). I've looked over a few spare PCBs that I have lying around from other electronics, hoping to find these parts to harvest and re-use. I did find some that look very similar.

Questions:

1) Do I need the exact replacement parts, or are there other transistors in the same class that would be suitable?

2) If I do need the same parts, how can I get them? I've googled and cannot find any info at all based on "1IJ" or "1lJ" searches.

3) If I do not need the exact parts, what class of transistor is it and what are some common, compatible parts?

4) Do I have other options?

Thanks for any assistance.

I see no Q4 and Q6 on my miniDSP 2x4 board, but I might be missing them.

I'm not sure what your issue is here. Contact miniDSP directly via their service/support ticket system and ask them if there is a repair potential for your boards.

Dave.
