Re: moi
You'll find two kinds of paradise on Reunion, the tiny French-speaking island in the middle of the Indian Ocean. If you're looking for rugged terrain suitable for trekking, Reunion offers some of the most dramatic mountain scenery anywhere -- jagged peaks, sheer cliffs, waterfalls and an active volcano to boot. But if you prefer a more genteel landscape, there are gorgeous gardens, fragrant spice farms and beautiful Creole houses to explore. The only possible flaw in this paradise has to do with water: Reunion's lagoons are small and shallow, and the island has little protection from the pounding surf, so its beautiful beaches and clear waters are more suitable for basking than for swimming and diving.

I know a very cheap source in Germany: astromedia . I have build such a small 7" projector too using this very cheap (focal lenght 310mm for 4.50.- euro!!!) probably the vocal lenght is to wide. So i use two of them. works great! (two 310 mm fresnel means 310/2 = 155 mm focallengt)
whaouu
i never thought about all these replies

heya moi u share the same ocean as my home town of perth western australia lol not that im there now but its a rough and wild sea aint it? anyway the frensel i used has a focal of about 15cm they usually have roughly the same focals thats just in page mags that is, basically cos if the focal was too long u would need to stand up and mag the page from the ground lol so the focal is fairly short and basically the same, im going to hunt around for some frensels maybe this week if i find one ill get a couple maybe ill send u one if u want one, i think the last time i got mine it was about 5euros and that fitted perfect for a 6inch lcd but however if u are going for a xenarc u will then need one larger, the quality of these frensels are good im my eyes, they are made for magnifaction and throw out a heap of light if u do it right, the only problem is rings but its no big deal i found out that if u have the frensel between 1-2 inches from the lcd the projection lens wont focus to the frensel but just to the lcd thus eliminating the rings.Im going to get a xenarc soon so if u can hold on abit ill have a cable solution for u and a frensel one too, im going to make up kits with this lcd so i might be able to help u out with a box too, i hope to get the xenarc in about a month.

hey i am considering a Xenarx VGA 7" LCD too, cause my Liliput 7" TV is simply to bad (480x234 60:1 ratio). I think the cheapest way for all europeeans is shipping from the US. Lowest price i found so far is xenarcdirect . They do shipp to europe for 35.-dollar, pretty aceptable price indeed. Probably i m going to release a diy projector kit too as Ace😎 In this case id becam distributor for Germany an switzerland
This is what i have done so far.hp.
Moi, as you see on my page, i mounted the fresnel close under the LCD so any groves/rings arent projected. These fresnel from astromedia do the job real good. they messure 270mmx210mm an can simply be croped by a pair of scissors. Now im considering a condenserlinse as there are some hotspot on the screen. hotspots arent a issue of lowquality fresnel i guess.
Ace, i would appreciate teamwork for the projector kit!

heya gadaffy i didnt even know u was making a kit lol, new news to me, we will have to talk, sure team work is the answer and i dont want others to feel a competion or loose money because of one another ect so as u said team work is the answer.
Gadaffy the best way to get a hold of me for a chat is either in hotmail messenger or yahoo messenger, my messenger id for both is ace3000_1, for the hotmail messeger just add @hotmail.com.
as for your frensel it must be a higher quality one than mine, i had mine right up against the lcd to begin with and it gave me rings so yours might be of a higher ring count and quality than mine, also is the frensel u have flexible?
the hotspots u are getting is from the reflector not the frensel and a condenser wont take away hotspots, i made a reflector that ill draw up in the near future for a 150w halogena bulb, not a standard halogen and this take3s all hotspots away with a simple tuning.
talk soon

do you mean oyu want to import and ditribute the xenarc monitors
let me know i'm interested
(apparently xenarc is not the manufacturer, only a distributor)
i 'don't know where they build these monitors
a tip from verbose mustafa (thanx verbose)
is to put a polirizing film between the lcd and the fresnel lens
do you know if the place where you bought your lense can ship worlwide?
if not can you do the job for me?
i saw you used an ohp lens to project
did someone tried with a camera lens (canon, nikon or else)
i think it can work especially with a zoom to higher or smaller the image
bye
