hi does anybody know where i can buy Fresnel Lenses in the uk because i can't find them any where, can you buy the kits from ebay and use those fresnel lenes insted?

There are plenty of suppliers out there for fresnel lenses in the UK, have a search for Page Magnifiers (yeah, it got me too at first 😉). The only problem is I couldn't find any large enough for a 15" LCD pannel. I did get in touch with the Ebay 'big screen tv' sellers, but they also don't stock anything large enough (like 13-15").
I imported my gear from www.diylabs.org - No Problems if you don't mind importing!

from ebay because i am only using a 5'' psone screen. have you built a projector if you have do you have a link to it.🙂

He was very helpful and stocks upto 10" square (UK based too).
I'm still in the process of making my box, tomorrow I should have some proper results I can capture. I've made a blog, you're welcome to look:

i sent an e-mail to that chap and he said the smallest one they sell is a 7'' by 10'' do you think you could cut that down to a 5'' diagonal psone screen and still work well?

Cutting shouldn't be a problem buddy, I cut my 15.5" square lens down to 15" diagonal with a dremel, no problemo. I expect a hacksaw and a bit of care would work too. Just measure it up and cut the middle out 🙂
