I need a frequency-to-voltage (actually, frequency-to-current, but adding a FET is not so hard) converter for a theremin project. Can anyone recommend one?
Use a comparator to convert the input signal to a square wave of constant voltage, then use that signal to drive a charge pump.

Which is done by taking your now constant amplitude pulses and triggering a monostable to create constant width pulses and integrating the pulse train. Max frequency is defined by the pulse width of the monostable.
