Hello everyone,
I want to build a freeDSP CLASSIC with 8x RCA outputs instead of 4. What parts do I need exactly for those extra 4 outputs?
Thanks in advance!

ADAU1701 chip only does upto 4 output channels....
FEATURES
28-/56-bit, 50 MIPS digital audio processor
2 ADCs: SNR of 100 dB, THD + N of −83 dB
4 DACs: SNR of 104 dB, THD + N of −90 dB

Is there a comparable chip that supports 8 DACs? If no, how about combining two freeDSP classics to work as one DSP, is that possible?
The ADAU1701 supports I2S or TDM interfaces; you could use this to connect to an external DAC or two. There must be something suitable you can get on eBay, an extra 2 audio channels should be easy but with 4 audio channels you would need to split LRCLK/BCLK if using 2 channel DACs. Just a case of setting it up in SigmaStudio then.
