Re: Re: Monkey wrench in gears.
I don'ty know if I want to see a horror flick (would not urinate on the best part of one), but Jeffrey Combs was absolutely fabulous, gut bustingly funny as "Dinosaur Bob", in the film "Love & a .45". That movie is twisted!. The story goes that Oliver Stone saw it at the Sundance Film Festival, ran home and wrote the script and basically stole the film and made a crappy low level copy....called 'Natural Born Killers'. If you've seen both films and realize that 'Love & a.45' was out FIRST, and he did see it at the film festival, you'll understand. 'Love & a .45" is the mind blowingly funny version of 'NBK', without the excessive gore and production money. A far better film.
Back to some sort of reality: Hollywood has a habit of attempting to inform the masses, to infect, so to speak. Sometimes it is not propoganda, sometimes it is far better fare. This film you speak of sound like it was literally intended to 'infect'. That's a good thing, in my opinion. Good to know that the front lines exist and there are good guys out there. For that alone, I will see the film. For example, the Aussie sci-fi film 'The Quiet Earth', is literally the same. The story goes that the US's intial attempts at the 'HAARP' project were made in the Aussie outback, utilizing Tesla Technology, in the 80's. Star wars research, literally. Other countries were involved: Seedier aspects of the Japanese economy, so to speak. The film is literally an attempt to alert the public, and make a good story and possibly make a buck at the same time.
The Yakuza angle of involvement in the intial design and experimental work, financing, and locational control, in return for technology, etc. Who knows. This story has been around since the invention of the internet as it is today, if not longer. BBS lists, etc. This has become the basis of weather control technology that the US Military Machine hopes to have as a complete 'control' system by 2020 or thereabouts. This came back in an odd way involving stories floating around about Katrina.

I built a resonator in my attic. It stimulates my pineal gland which is actually an organ of vision that has been rendered nearly nonfunctional by evolution. Anyway, when I stimulate my pineal gland via this resonator, I am able to see into other, parallel dimensions. I try not to use it too often because it leaves me with a headache like you wouldn't believe, and I have noticed a bump growing on my forehead, which I believe is my pineal gland trying to grow out through my skull in order to increase its power of vision. I am beginning to get an urge to eat people's brains by sucking them out through their eye sockets, and I don't know what to do. I tried to shut off the resonator, but it gave me a powerful electric shock, as if it were trying to defend itself. I don't know how much longer this can go on...

In reality the script was written by some guy named Quentin Tarantino. He doesn't like the movie.

KBK,
It would be a shame if you can't support the NASA claim, It would do wonders for your credability with some, not that thats to important.

Re: Re: Re: Re: Monkey wrench in gears.
That's wy I said 'the story goes...' as one never knows the truth of a given thing. Now I know a bit more about it.
Might have been a case of the old holywood situation where the script goes from studio to studio, each turning it down while each studio then furiously modifies and basically...steals the baseline story. Suddenly, 12 months later, we have 5 different versions of the same film come out. Two big budget highliners..and three B versions. Not unusual.
yeah shoog, not that important to me personally. Perhaps I'll go back to the threadjacking thread where I cross posted it from, and try and remember the point where I picked that one up. It wasn't all that long ago. I typed it up from memory, it likely came from one of the Laurence Gardner books or similar. Laurence Garnder, much to his credit, has most of his books with 1/3 to 1/2 of the book as a reference and bibliography, index, etc. He provides references for everything he speaks on.
Oh yeah.
I remember. "The Secret Life of Plants", published 1973. That's where it's from. ISBN-13# 978-0-06-091587-2. A mind numbing book for materialsts. All --pure-- science. Very hard for them to get past. This book presents a brick wall to them that says: "Stop, look again. No choice, too much information, too many facts that are 100% verifiable -- this is reality - deal with it."
Pretty sure that's where it came from. I'll scan the book for it.

I'd agree with that.
I don't seem to be able to find the NASA reference with two scans of the book. So it isn't in that one.
Have you read the book, Sy? Follow up question: What do you think of it? Yes/no or similar will suffice.
Yes, back in my bong-and-patchouli days. Polygraphy doesn't even work reliably on people. My favorite part was the communication between yoghurt containers.
Backster was hilarious. One clue- anything with Eldon Byrd attached to it is likely fraud.

The guy's name is Christopher bird. The other name does not seem to be there. I did goggle on the guy you mention. Seems connected to Geller. I'd say that comments on Geller make up about like, 5 pages of the book, out of 375 pages.
As for the rest (And presumptious of me, not nice-or fair), If you can't see it, I'd say that it is a sad day indeed. Sad for you. Like living in a black and white world, unable to see color. Too bad. I hope that is not true.
As for polygraph not working well on people, that is part of the whole point. You are approaching it from the wrong direction. Like the review of NBK (Natural Born Killers) I just read on IMDB, pertaining to the the question of origins put forth to me by another member of the forum here. You are missing the point entirely - possibly (re😛lants). The whole point of stone's NBK was the angry mob of whiners who put the film down due to it's voilence. They can't even see that they are stuck inside a circular arguement. Like the whole reason behind the most recent 'Police Action' is beyond them, and thus, becomes the source of their undoing. Hoisted by their own petard. Like Ali-G spoofing people. They miss it entirely. etc. They cannot see even the edge of this arguement, and therfore cannot make out even the existence of the obvious point. Nothing for them to grasp or realize exists - all due to personal origins and directions.
Once again, I only use this as an explanitory tool. Once again, I hope this is not true.

One of my favorite bar fight starting attacks, which only a very brave person uses is of a similar nature. Use at your own risk:
Big loafy footballish kinda guy gives you grief, the kind only an ignoramus can. "A bit too long in the breach, aye!?," you yell at him. "WHAT??!?!", he rumbles back at you. Then you level your finger at him and smile wickedly, and say, "My point exactly!" then all hell breaks loose. Sometimes. Works just as well, if you get to walk away from a confused man, not knowing how badly he has been insulted.

I wasn't implying anything. After all, when you deal with Hollywood you deal with professional liars.

Point taken. As I said, not every fool believes in everything. But that does not invalidate the entire book. Not by a long shot. Next thing you know, we'll all be going to see live episodes of the John Edwards show. Watching him speak was bad enough, during one of the episodes. I had the sad job of bringing his insanity and lies to the attention of one of my fellow employees (last place I held an actual job). At that time, I was having psychic experiences on a daily basis. They were of a temporal aspect, in terms of precognitive situations, for the large part. I had to show her that this guy was a total ***, in terms of showing the reports and stories of his manipulations, re microphones backstage, investigators, etc.
She wasn't happy about it, but she accepted it. She wanted to believe. "There are definitely things to believe in, but not here", I told her. "This guy is definitely a charlatan. Anyone who comes for your money, in whatever shape or form, is incredibly likely to be full of it. The real ones don't want your money. There are exceptions to those rules as in most things. But those people are few and far between. Due to the number of lies out there, the truth tends to be obsured."
Science: For example, Newton had to revise his Opus his entire life, and in the end-it still didn't work properly.
The problem is that these effects and understadings are of a personal nature, and that's the way it works. If you aren't looking, you won't find. Simple as that. Subtle as all get out, in terms of recognition of them. Not a simple task to label, quantify, qualify, etc. Not with the current set of tools. There are otehr tools and ways, but due to your origins, you won't accept them. Hard for me to fix that. Hoisted by your own petard.
Once again, this has everything to do with the suject of Free Energy, in my mind. This is of a similar nature, in terms of the realizations that one will have to go through to reach an understanding of the nature of it.

Your point poobah? What do you quote? A reflection of your own views? Missing the point, are you?
KBK,
If I may...
It's really an issue of content versus delivery. I think the Wookie was giving you a gentle nudge to perhaps do a little reflecting. I can't speak directly for the others but I feel that there is a certain amount of pontification that is not being received as well as you would like.
Just my thoughts.
Having said that, I wish you a happy and prosperous new year.

If you mean the Principia, well, to quote Klaatu, it serves to get a spaceship from one planet to another.
Yeah cal, I'm not so good at internet delivery. I'm fine in person, as the inflection is there. Ie, the smile, the humor. the identifiying with the individual. That I can do. No prolbemo. But this faceless internet sutff I'm not so good at. I use alot of physical, facial and emotional considerations to get the point across. It's too blank for the rest of it to come across here. It comes off sounding a bit blunt, and heated, when it is not. also...One cannot put the essence of a lifetime of learning and experience , which is already of a subtle nature...into a thread tht is a loaded and polarized antagonistic postion, right from the get go. Impossible. All one can do is - indicate. Flail about a bit. The eternal questions are asked. "The door is over there", one points..and then goes back to whatever they were doing. I'm trying to fix a Counterpoint amp right now. Almost as difficult a task. : p
And I don't have the patience to try and put all that inflection into my posts. They'd be far longer than they already are.
Merry post ho-ho to everyone too! And remember that new year is a arbitrary date on an arbitrary calendar, and means --nothing. Which is what I always carry away from this day. Nevertheless, I appreicate the sentiments and pass that back to everyone here!

A pervasive pattern of grandiosity (in fantasy or behavior), need for admiration, and lack of empathy, beginning by early adulthood and present in a variety of contexts, as indicated by five (or more) of the following:
(1) has a grandiose sense of self-importance (e.g., exaggerates achievements and talents, expects to be recognized as superior without commensurate achievements)
(2) is preoccupied with fantasies of unlimited success, power, brilliance, beauty, or ideal love
(3) believes that he or she is "special" and unique and can only be understood by, or should associate with, other special or high-status people (or institutions)
(4) requires excessive admiration
(5) has a sense of entitlement, i.e., unreasonable expectations of especially favorable treatment or automatic compliance with his or her expectations
(6) is interpersonally exploitative, i.e., takes advantage of others to achieve his or her own ends
(7) lacks empathy: is unwilling to recognize or identify with the feelings and needs of others
(8) is often envious of others or believes that others are envious of him or her
(9) shows arrogant, haughty behaviors or attitudes
Sorry KBK... I was simply hinting at my suspicions that you may be seriously whacked. Hop in the car, go somewhere, take a genuine interest in someone (not you), try to be humble, have some fun.
