today i was cleaning house and i found a old amp with dead power resister's. so when i had the spair time i wanted to try
something i had a 6c33c-b siting on the bench from a few days ago. so i tryed wiring it up where the power resister was.
the plate is c
the grid is e
and the cathode is b
so im thinking its not going to work what the hell im i doing
set up a power supply for the filament and bam its alive
the sad part is it's got a lot of power and it sounds awsome
lol does this sound like something that should be working?
i set the other channel up to with a tube to and it work's to
it's been working for most of the day with 2 6c33c-b's with no problem's at all😀
not sure how but it's a keeper
😀 😀 😀

Could it be you switched b & e accidently?..........

You mean transistor, not resistor? It'd have to be plate = C, grid = B, cathode = E. Switch B and E for PNP types.
