Much information on a sort of spiral horn speaker design.
Like the idea of this speaker builder.
Don't know if this design is any good.
Maybe some of you members know.

I almost made one of his designs once, though I was eventually put off by the thought of trying to make a 3-D spiral horn. However, I think for someone wanting to try a horn on a small scale, some of his designs would be excellent.
The links page is very interesting too.

It looks like he could use some stuffing in the horn. From looking at FR graphs, the horn mouth has a lot of spiky output at HF. But I don't have any experience with horns. Maybe that would create other problems.
I came across his site when looking for interesting horn designs for some TB W3-871S drivers.
I'm planning on bluilding the Helix H-88.
Now I got realy interested when reading about the results he got with the 6" HiVi speaker, used as a subwoofer.
Has anyone got an idea how I could design my own spiral horn subwoofer for a driver of my choice?
What about box-volume? Do I follow the formula for calculating an Helmholz resonator like he started out?
Anyone got Mr. Masaaki Takenaka's e-mail address?

They all do that. Those curves are quite good.
Nelson,
I just read Pt. 2 of your audioXpress article on the Kleinhorn. It was a great read. Thanks!
