Does anyone have any experience with the Fostex H400 horn and D1400 1" driver?
Sound quality, x-over points, etc
.
The horn is fairly affordable. $489 at Madisound.
Is the D1400 driver up to par today? Compared to other 1" such as B&C, Eighteen Sound, BMS, Radian, RCF, Beyma, etc. I'm not that experienced in the driver field.
I was think a box something like this with PHL 12":
Thank you,

An externally hosted image should be here but it was not working when we last tested it.

Hi,
here is some info: http://www.soundworks-pa-shop.de/po...gID=2&XTCsid=e0a34aaea4f27c160e9b79dc7847d229
(oh well, it was posted already )
Recommended crossover seems to be "higher than" 750Hz, I had a similar combination from RCF and -I- would crossover them at 1000Hz + , if passive. It depends on your desired maximum volume level too. BTW the amount of fostex 1" drivers sold on ebay with blown voice coils speaks for itself imho.
