OOoo, uh,,,short term memory loss. I think it's about $50 for a 5'x5' sheet. If you know someone that can buy from a wholesaler you might do better.

A verry good design for the Fostex is the Schmacks horn, a bit large but dynamic and good bottom end

What's the average cost of the birch ply?

My buddy just bought 5 sheets of maple veneer appleply at $85 per 4'x8' sheet.

The Schmacks horn can be found in several design books from the 50´s and onward. Many of them not corect and design not optimal for modern ply or board. I did a modification of the original design suitable for 18-22mm board, throat adjustable for 6-10" driver. This was a few years ago so its pencil on paper, if You want i´ll look it up and scan/post it here. It´s a bit cumbersome to assemble but worthwile. Even my Wife, who didn´t fancy two small barnhouses in the livingroom, still think its the best speakers we ever had!
