the other day i blew my amp. i opened it up and the power supply is burnt. i also noticed that this amp has previously been repaired (output stage). it's so big i hate to mess anything up so i called fosgate and they want $550 just to fix what is wrong with it and a 90 day warranty. thats a lot for me. so i called a guy i heard about online and he told me thats it's a gamble because certain parts used in these amps he can't get a hold of, but if he coould repair it it would be 1/2 as much as fosgate. do yall think i should attempt to repair it or what?
i have 2 kinetic 1400's and 1 kinetic 2400, 200a iraggi alt, 0ga wire. only had it hooked up for a couple weeks. i suspect low voltage/current because i had my car off and played it for about 45 sec on music then smoke. 1 ohm load box rise to 2.3 ohm
The outputs are available so you can probably repair it.
Before you start, try to get the schematic diagram for the amp.
Which FETs are they using in the power supply?

i looked around and people are saying that if i call fosgate that they will probably send schematic to me. so i'll call em tomorrow
If/when you order parts, you should order the driver components.

10 ohm resistors, likely 0805 size (connected to gate of the power supply FETs). Confirm before ordering.
If the FETs are soldered to the MEHSA insulators, you'll need to read the following post:

I'M ABOUT TO PLACE ORDERS FOR PARTS ALL EITHER ARE EXACT MATCH OR PERRY HAS CONFIRMED EXCEPT... PZTAO6/PZTA56 I CANT FIND EM. ON ONSEMI THEY HAVE A CROSS REF. BCP56T1 WILL THOSE BE AN OK REPLACEMENT.
It appears that it should be a good sub but I've learned to never make assumptions, especially with class D amps.
