Hi there people. I have joined up to search out ideas and thoughts on areas of common interest. Wanted a "shed stereo" , got a bit over 7kw with four 18"/800w W bins ,JBL 4733s, twenty something rack spaces of music PC digi EQ / Xover, amps. Cant play with it enough. Have done a few Events and looking at more. If you have experience tuning Ws, I want to hear from you.
Hi Cal. I had looked at some of your stuff, interesting.I have four Keele Ws loaded with 18' (18 S ) DAS drivers.I think the box maker thought longer port tubes would be good to go lower. They are dia 85mm as per original(I think) by 240mm long. I feel bigger ports say 102-110 mm dia would be better. I am looking for some one who has experience running tuning software to determine lengths of port to tune to drivers FS which I seem to recall is 34hz.Regards Peter, New zealand.
